Barcelona has 4 km (2 ½ miles) of beach line and “Poblenou B&B” is located just 300 meters (330 yards) form the Bogatell beach (between the Olympic Port and Diagonal Mar). The neighbourhood of Poblenou joined the city in 1872, but our small town spirit still survives and that gives us something unique, and our area is one of the loveliest and most authentic in Barcelona.
The beach is an essential part of our life when it’s summertime, so…why not start the day off with a dip in the sea and a sunbath while you plan your day? Or perhaps you would prefer to take a bath after an exhausting day? One of our hostel’s best things is that you can enjoy both!!
Our beaches are well groomed and offer a variety of amenities (showers, deck-chairs and safe box rentals, etc…) On summer evenings the beach’s food stands are ideal for listening to a bit of music in a relaxed atmosphere. Along the beachfront you’ll also find restaurants that are well worth a visit.
The Rambla del Poblenou, is, without doubt the neighbourhood’s main axis. It’s a pedestrian avenue sided by large trees where people usually stroll or congregate on in one of the many open-air terraces. You’ll feel at home in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoying the Mediterranean way of life.
To get to the city’s centre, nothing’s better that a hop on a bus or underground. You only have 5 stops to reach, for example, the Barrio Gótico (Gothic neighbourhood).
Barcelona has its own history and culture, but the best way to feel its rhythm is strolling throug its many streets. In fact, the streets are the best places to discover the spirit of what real life is like in our city. Just keep your eyes open and allow yourself to be surprised!
